Port to Port will ferry you from Port Chalmers or Portobello. This service is available every day during the Festival.

Departs Portobello Daily at 1.15pm

Explore the historic Quarantine Island/Kamau Taurua and at the playground look for treasure. Allow approximately 2 hours for this visit.

Walk around the island for stunning views and see how the island today is being replanted into native forest.

Receive a treasure map with clues to find the treasure box. Once you’ve found the treasure, bring it back to the boat to receive your REAL treasure!

While on the island take part in the Kamau Taurua Quarantine Island Community’s letter installation.

Tēnā koe te Whenua, Dear Earth, - Letters to the Land

Write a letter, a poem or draw a picture, and post it to the whenua via the letterbox, or you are welcome to keep your letter to take home.

The letters will be on display in the Married Quarters building.

Cost: $30/adult, $18/child return. Includes treasure maps and treats for the children. Most suitable for ages 3 and up.
