International Penguin Conference call to action
New Zealand is home to more penguin species than any other country - of the 18 species in the world, 13 of them can be found in New Zealand. Dunedin launched the first International Penguin Conference in 1988 and in August 2019 hosted 272 penguin scientists at the 10th International Penguin Conference.
