7x7 Wild Talks

  • Tūhura Otago Museum 419 Great King Street Dunedin, Otago, 9016 New Zealand (map)

Te Rūnaka o Ōtākou will officially open the Wild Dunedin Festival in the Hutton Theatre at 5.30pm, followed by 7x7 Wild Talks.

One of our signature events, the 7 x 7 at Tūhura Otago Museum is set to inspire you this year. Seven fascinating speakers take the stage to present their big ideas, each with just seven minutes to dive into intriguing topics that celebrate our wild natural world.

From the dramatic geo-scapes of Otago’s natural geology to the icy wonder of Antarctica’s penguin colonies, this fast-paced event will open your mind to the incredible science, conservation, and natural history shaping our local region and the world.

Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a curious learner, or just love a good story, you won’t want to miss this dynamic evening of big ideas in bite-sized talks.

We are serious about the time allowed, so it's a race for those competing to get their story across in the most effective way in just seven minutes.
