Do you have a budding paleontologist in the family? Are you fascinated by rocks and minerals? Come along and learn with our staff and senior students why rocks rock, how big whale fossils are prepared, and enjoy a relaxed opportunity to explore the Geology Museum's collections.
University of Otago Geology Museum is located behind the University Clock Tower. Access also from Leith Walk.

Hosted by Department of Geology, University of Otago: The Geology Museum has the largest collection of rocks, minerals and fossils in the South Island. The Museum is also open to the public during the year, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
