Bird Feeder Workshop

  • Otago Museum 419 Great King Street Dunedin New Zealand (map)

Invite the beautiful birds of New Zealand into your backyard with your very own macramé birdfeeder!

Many of our native birds eat nectar, fruit, and insects. You can help supplement their food all year round by setting up your own feeder. Sugar water is a great supplementary food for nectar loving birds like tūi and korimako. Sit back, relax, and watch our stunning natives fill your garden with joy.

Tickets are $10 and include everything you need to make your very own macramé birdfeeder.

This event is part of Tūhura Otago Museum’s Up Late event and is the opening night event for Wild Dunedin: NZ Festival of Nature 2023. The whole Museum will stay open until 9pm, with live music, tours, planetarium screenings, and workshops throughout the night, so make sure to take a look at the rest of the schedule!
